Spring Development

The spring development session is designed to allow your players to relax and get out of the grind and pressures of the of the regular season.

The season is over and now is this the time let the stress, the expectations of coaches, the puch from parents go and to concentrate on yourself.

There is no-one in the stands, there is no-one to impress... so let yourself try new things, become uncomfortable, work on the skills that you know you struggle with and DEVELOP.

The BANDITS curriculum includes EDGE WORK, POWER SKATING, BODY MECHANICS, STRENGTH TRAINING and POWER SKILL development. There is NO POSSIBLE way that your player will not become a better skater after six weeks of BANDITS!

*** development sessions are capped 40 skaters.

· 6 weeks sessions

· 12 hours of developmental ice

· 6 hours of off-ice dryland

· 6 games on the weekends

· The first session of each week will concentrate on Edge work, Body mechanics and Power Skating with game play at the end.

· The other session of each week will concentrate on small area skill development

· The weekends are for games. Each player will be assigned a team and there will be a 6-week BANDITS season

Goalies:

· We do not to not forget about our goalies

· We execute a goalie specific style camp within the 6-week development session

· The First on-ice sessions for the goalies will be a goalie clinic on one end of the ice while the players have development on the other end

· The goal is to have 2 goalies to one coach ratio.

· The second on-ice goalie session will be stations and small area games with tenders, so they are NEVER sitting still nor acting as shooting targets for the skaters.
